The Winter BluesThe weather has turned cold and bleak days drag and and so do the weeks But remember before to long The springbirds will sing their delightful song "the winter's over and now it's spring the winter is over it's time to sing new growth, new life new hope get out and smile-try not to mope" Thought of the day..... Try really hard to challenge yourself and go and do something positive..it only has to be small..put the baby in the pram and go for a walk and look at the flowers & birds, go to the park, go to a mother's group or a playgroup...make a friend...get connected with others..as it is impossible to live life feeling alone and disconnected from the world, yourself or family. Have a shower, put on something bright and fresh...it may make you feel a little better. Next time you look into the mirror smile at yourself...it may sound silly but it is such a positive step in the right direction...and that is the key..take small steps..baby steps © Mary Beijerinck-Gooley 2007 |
