History
Baby Bumps Support Group is run by passionate community volunteers .Our volunteers have a diverse range of professional backgrounds, skills and life experiences.
We have a common thread which is our experience of post-natal depression and/or anxiety (PND). Our volunteers have either experienced this personally or cared for a loved one who has. We’re acutely aware of PND’s impact upon the individuals, families and children so we exist to help mums navigate the bumpy road of PND.
Baby Bumps is a not-for-profit playgroup and support group for mothers who experience depression and anxiety. We offer a safe and non-judgmental environment. The support group is run by qualified counsellors and the venue has an enclosed playground for the children to enjoy. Babysitters and qualified childcare professionals are available for mothers who need 1 to 1 counselling or time out.
Just as a baby grows and develops so too has Baby Bumps Support Group. We have evolved from an idea in 2006 to a regular and successful support group. As a result our commitment to our mums, funding from our local councils and our enthusiastic volunteers, Baby Bumps SupportGroup continues to grow and assist our mums and families along the bumpy and uncertain path of parenting.
